Great for snorkeling, swimming, sun bathing, and sandcastle building, Pelican Beach is an all-around great spot for a day along the shore.
Set in Friis Bay, Pelican Beach is on the East coast of St. John. You might think about stopping by whether or not you're staying particularly close by.
Just a few yards off shore is a long reef great for snorkeling, though keep the undertow in mind. On shore, there is 1,200 feet of white sand with palm trees, accessible facilities with a restroom, a restaurant, and a bar. There is no lifeguard on duty, but there is life saving equipment available.
Unfortunately, restrooms will not be available here, so if you're visiting with small children you might want to consider a different location.
