Fort James Beach

Fort James Beach has wonderfully white sand and transparent waters. It has a few great nearby restaurants, but it's not overly developed. There's some great views of the water if you walk towards the rockier tip of the cape.

Located in the outer region of St. John's, a mile northwest of downtown, Fort James Beach is on the North West coast of Antigua. You might think about stopping by even if you aren't staying particularly close by. The beaches in Antigua aren't usually known for their peace and quiet, however, Fort James Beach is tamer than most, which makes it an excellent attraction for those of you who'd prefer to stay out of the busiest areas.

How to Access The Beach
Head West on Fort Road until you get to the coast and then head South towards the cape just a little and you'll be at the best spot to to enjoy Fort Beach. Parking and amenities available.

Amenities and Ambiance

Situated on the West side of a small cape, Fort James Beach has a great expanse of snow white sand for sunbathing, a great nearby restaurant and a rocky cape for stunning ocean views.

The concession stand located here is another lunchtime alternative.

Unfortunately, restrooms will not be available here, which is something to consider if you plan to spend a full day in the sun. Fortunately, umbrellas and chairs will be available for visitors hoping for a break from the hot sun.

Fort James Beach with its available comforts are found inside a popular area that can get crowded. Unless you do not mind crowds, it's a decent idea to make plans against other visitors, such as having your beach visit earlier when it is a little cooler. If you arrive later, you possibly run the risk of all those comforts being too crowded for you to use.
