This is one of prettiest beaches on the island, and one of three popular beaches on the southeastern tip. You'll also find unbelievable views of Nevis across the channel, and have the opportunity to watch the jumping fish that populate the beautiful waters of Banana Bay. There is a small hut that sells refreshments, but it still may be a good idea to pack a picnic.

Even if you love being in the middle of all the action, there are some perks to visiting a beach that isn't surrounded by thousands of hotel rooms; beautiful but out-of-the-way beaches like Banana Bay allow you much more room to spread out and feel comfortable.

Banana Bay is home to fine white sand and soft, rolling waves. There are coconut trees swaying in the ocean breeze along the coast which are not only picturesque but valuable also for their shade. This is also a good swimming area, but if you plan to go snorkeling you should bring your own gear.
Lots of visitors here find that the on-site snack bar is just fine for lunch. You may also have the option to get lunch from one of the mobile vendors who typically set up at this spot.
Keep in mind that restrooms won't be found on-site, so those of you traveling with small children may want to consider another spot.

If you want to combine some cultural exploration with your trip to the beach, you should plan a trip to National Museum, a lovely museum found within driving distance, so it would be an easy side trip to take after the beach.
