Fort Charles

Built in the 1630's to defend Charlestown, this fort fought many battles. The soldiers who were stationed at Fort Charles would fire the cannons at enemies such as the Spanish, Dutch, and French. The French were able to capture this fort on multiple occasions.

The fort has been abandoned since 1854, and the area has, for the most part, been reclaimed by nature.

Guests at Fort Charles will have access to one or two island activities like playing a few holes of golf and doing some beach-going within traveling distance. Guests who enjoy showing their aptitude at the golf course, might want to do so at the closest option, which is Royal St. Kitts Golf Club. If golfing isn't your thing, you're not out of luck - head to Pump Bay, one of the closest beaches to this landmark.
