St. Lucia offers a variety of ferry options for island hopping and touring the surrounding Caribbean. Take advantage of scenic and relaxing trips on the water while making your way around St. Lucia.

St. Lucia has several different ports of entry, which makes boats and ferries a good travel option. Air passengers who fly into either George F.L. Charles Airport or Soufrière or Hewanorra International Airport can easily find ground transportation to get to their destination. For more information about ground transportation, click here. Traveling by road from the Hewanorra airport to Castries is at least an hour and a half journey. Travel time from Castries to Soufriere is about an hour drive.

Those who prefer to do much of their traveling on the water will find that St. Lucia is well serviced by ferries, making it easy to include St. Lucia in any island hopping tour. Several ferry lines connect St. Lucia with Martinique. From there travelers can continue on to other islands such as Dominica and Guadeloupe.

The only major ferry company that services St. Lucia is L'Express des Iles. This company services St. Lucia in conjunction with Martinique, Guadeloupe, and Dominica. Visitors can get to and from any of these locations with this ferry. Very popular and well-known, it is a go-to on St. Lucia.

Port Castries Ferry Dock is the only dock for which we have information. You can find it just outside the heart of Saint Lucia.

Day trippers can also take advantage of ferry and boat service in various parts of St. Lucia. The two sides of Marigot Bay are connected by continual ferry service.
