Grand Anse

The drive out Grand Anse is breathtakingly beautiful, and the scene once you get there is even more rewarding. Surrounded by St Lucia's mountainous eastern coast, and far removed from the island's development and tourist spots, you may find yourself all alone at this secluded, tranquil destination.

Located near the heart of the island of Saint Lucia, 4.0 miles east of Babonneau, Grand Anse is on the North East coast of the island, You should consider dropping by regardless of whether you're staying in the immediate vicinity. This beach isn't just another pleasant afternoon distraction, it's special in that it's one of the few quiet beaches on St. Lucia. While Grand Anse may be a little farther away, it permits unparalleled relaxation opportunities.

How to Access The Beach
The beach is located east of Babonneau, and can be accessed using roads from the town of Marquis. Once there, you'll want to take the small roads east, but ask the locals which ones are best, as this sometimes changes. A car will get you here, but taking a 4X4 wouldn't be a bad idea as the roads aren't always the easiest to drive on.

Amenities and Ambiance

The beach is long and straight, an anomaly on this coast of the island which is known for its dramatic elevation changes, cliffs, coves, and other inlets. A walk along the large-granule sands is wonderfully peaceful and romantic. The waves pound the shores here, so swimming may not be possible, but the real appeal here is the solitude and the phenomenal views.

Unfortunately, you won't find any public restrooms along this coastline, though you may be able to use the facilities at a nearby business.

Grand Anse brings guests a quiet and peaceful retreat, since the region surrounding the beach isn't too crowded at all.
