This beautiful beach can only be reached one of two ways -- either through the Jalousie Hilton Resort, or by boat. Those not staying at the resort are still welcomed, however. Once you arrive on these shores you'll be able to enjoy fantastic watersports like snorkeling, diving, and kayaking.
Positioned on the southwestern side of the island of Saint Lucia, You should consider dropping by even if you aren't staying particularly close by. Though planning a vacation means you'll make lots of choices, choosing a beach that suits your family could be one of the most important. St. Lucia is full of fun options, like Jalouise.
The beach is a few miles south of Soufriere on the southwestern coast. From Soufriere, take Baron Dr south until you reach the end. Take a right and you'll be led to the Jalousie Hilton on the beach. Many people access the beach by boat.
This crescent-shaped little beach used to be one of the island's black sand beaches until it was covered with powdery white sands. The real draw, though, is its arrestingly beautiful location in between some thoroughly impressive, world-famous pitons. The views are spectacular and the atmosphere is relaxed.
Unfortunately, public restrooms aren't available, but you may be able to find facilities at a nearby business. Fortunately, lounging chairs will be available for visitors hoping for relief from the sultry island sun Happily, the off-shore waters are of good snorkeling quality, so grab some equipment if you've been hoping to get in some underwater exploration.
Even so, please keep in mind that even though there are luckily some conveniences on location if you go to Jalouise, it will be found in an area that sees many visitors. Taking that into consideration, if you feel that the amenities are a deciding factor, it'll likely be a smart motivator to make it there in the morning well before the crowds do or perhaps try a beach away from the major areas. If you do not, you may not take advantage of all the amenities that Jalouise has on site.
Set on the South West coast of Saint Lucia; the area hosts attractions such as Fond Doux Holiday Plantation, which is one and a quarter miles to the southeast.
If you want to learn more about the history of St. Lucia, there are lots of sites which offer a historic look at the nation. The nearest historical attraction is Fort Charlotte, which is 11 and a half miles to the north-northeast.

Jalouise is close to Soufrière, so a trip into the city——for snacks, drinks, and other attractions——is a convenient option. The nearby town of Soufrière is a region with interesting things to do, yet is never overly congested. From Jalouise, Soufrière is not far away, maybe two miles (three kilometers).
Whether this spot is full of bodies or practically empty will vary depending on the time of day, particularly in the high season when hotels overflow with tourists. You can typically expect to see a fair amount of vacationers who are staying in the area.

There are other beaches on Saint Lucia you might like besides Jalouise.
You might also enjoy Roseau Bay, where there's usually lots of activity. It is located nine miles to the north. Marigot Beach offers the perfect pitstop for boatsmen, as well as for vacationers who want to experience this amazing beach. If you'd rather try a more private, less popular location, Soufriere Beach may be a good choice. It is located not far off the beach at all.
Another sun-drenched spot to consider is Anse Chastanet, located within a short distance. You wont be able to resist the charming allure of the Anse Chastanet beach.
Of course, there is much more to do besides lounge on the sand on St. Lucia, but Jalouise is both a refreshing place to relax, and a beautiful natural attraction.
