Anse Marcel is a beautiful beach, completely tucked away in a bay, with some of the brightest blue waters I've ever seen. The sand is soft and white and the shape of the bay calms the waves into gentle ripples.
Located on the northwestern outskirts of Anse Marcel, this beach is on the South East coast of the island of St. Martin and Sint Maarten. You might want to drop by even if you aren't staying in the vicinity. If hustle and bustle isn't your style, you'll appreciate that the majority of beaches in St. Martin are known for their privacy and seclusion. This atmosphere is not for everyone, though. If you seek a fun and active spot, you're better suited for one of the few lively beaches, like Anse Marcel.
Access to this beach tends to be limited to those who are staying at the resorts that line the beachfront. You could patronize the bar at the resort and casually head to the shore or you could try just walking through or renting a boat and arriving at the marina.
This beach has two major hotels on its inland side, owning this beachfront property. There's also a marina with a channel into the bay on the east side of the beach.
There is also a restaurant right on the water, so if you don't want to leave Anse Marcel at all, it's worth a try. St. Martin has so many interesting places to sit and enjoy a meal, but some meals are best enjoyed spontaneously, in a truly casual setting. Many vacationers like having lunch very close-by. Did you know that some hotels are happy to pack picnic lunches for their guests? Otherwise, you could easily grab some of St. Martin's famous street food along the way.
The concession stand located here is another lunchtime alternative.
Vacationers can take advantages of picnic tables at this beach, which are perfect for setting up your carry-out food, or just lounging under the sun.
Unfortunately, restrooms will not be available here, but you may be able to find facilities at a nearby business. Shower facilities are available here, so you can rinse off before heading back to your hotel.
Bear in mind that Anse Marcel's immediate surroundings are a bustling area, so you may find quite a few people vying for the use of the same facilities.
Anse Marcel is always a lovely side-trip when you're in the area. Look for it on the South East coast of the island of St. Martin and Sint Maarten. It's located near, which is not far from away. Some will choose to walk here, while others will want to take a taxi, and it is among the attractions in the area.

Of course, Anse Marcel is just one of many beaches you might like on the island of St. Martin and Sint Maarten.
If the exciting vibe at Anse Marcel is one of the features you love, consider also visiting Baie de cul-de-sac, a beach with a similar ambiance. You'll find it one and a quarter miles to the east-southeast. If you were hoping to find a tranquil beach scene with few crowds, you might find what you want at Grande-Case Beach. You'll find it not far off the beach at all.
Travelers may also want to consider Baie Lucas Beach, which is located reasonably close-by, so a quick ride in a taxi is an easy option.
Maybe Anse Marcel is a perfect spot for you to kick back, and at the same time perhaps not the the ideal fit; if so, St. Martin offers a variety of beaches for travelers who wish to try elsewhere.
