During your visit to the Baie Rouge beach, there are a number of great things to see and do. The waters here are calm enough for swimming, and the gorgeous sands are perfect for a sunset stroll. Adventurous travelers can also check out Devil's Hole, which is a steep hole in the middle of the cliffs where water flows down into its depths.

Situated in Las Terres Basses, in the same general area as Point Pirouette, Baie Rouge is on the South West coast of the island of St. Martin and Sint Maarten. You might want to drop by whether or not you're staying nearby. Peace and quiet is what you'll find at the majority of St. Martin's beaches, but Baie Rouge is a little different. You'll still find it has a calm, serene mood, but you can visit without sacrificing a fun and social atmosphere.

How to Access The Beach
This tan sand beach has a wide, sandy path from the road onto the beach across the street from the western end of red pond. You can walk right up to this quiet beach and stick your umbrella in the sand.

Amenities and Ambiance

The small yet stunning cove of Baie Rouge Beach provides vacationers with plenty of picturesque scenery. The waters along this beach are also great for snorkeling, so don't forget to bring your gear.

Of course, there is also a restaurant located right on-site. There are so many unique restaurants in St. Martin, but don't think that table-side service and a lengthy menu are necessary to enjoy a tasty meal. Some vacationers would rather eat lunch by the shoreline than in a different restaurant. Ask your hotel about picnic lunches, as some hotels offer to pack snacks for their guests' day trips. Otherwise, street vendors and casual walk-up eateries will have take-out dishes you can bring to the beach.

Lots of visitors here find that the on-site snack bar is just fine for lunch. You may also have the option to order some food from one of the mobile vendors who are generally found here.

Keep in mind that restrooms won't be found on-site, so if you're visiting with small children you might want to consider a different location. Fortunately, chairs and umbrellas will be available for use to visitors hoping for a shaded area to relax. Fortunately, the water here is clear enough for snorkeling, so bring your gear if you are looking to do some underwater exploration.

Don't forget that the area surrounding Baie Rouge is an urban area, meaning the availability of certain facilities is likely to be affected.
