A French bistro at Porto Cupecoy Marina, Le Bateau Ivre is cozy and romantic, serving fine French cuisine and offering just enough space for couples to dance to the light jazz music that is always playing.

Le Bateau Ivre

Known for having some of the best escargot in St. Maarten, Le Bateau Ivre's menu is actually filled with International cuisine that has French touches. This bistro also serves tapas. Their most popular items are the sauteed snails with mushrooms and garlic creamy sauce, red tuna tartare with mango and tomatoes salsa, duck breast with mango sauce, beef filet mignon with mushrooms, surf and turf with beed filet mignon and sea scallops, and lobster tails with Armoricaine sauce.

Le Bateau Ivre is a bistro that offers French and Mediterranean cuisines, as well as salads. When it comes to the level of formaility, the setting here is very casual. This dining option is on the table during both dinner and lunch, so give it a try. You might discover some dishes that you fall in love with.

Dining takes place either inside the glass-encased boat-themed dining room with a view of the Portocupecoy Marina, or out on the deck. Whichever spot you choose, the live music on Friday and Saturday evenings sets the tone for a relaxed, romantic ambiance. There is also a fun Magician close up show on Sunday evenings. The restaurant features three tables outside where you can enjoy French-style tapas and a drink, eight tables inside and both a bar and lounge area.

This restaurant is on the premises of Porto Cupecoy Shopping, which is located 0.9 miles west of Point Pirouette, a neighborhood in Sint Maarten; it is 2.6 miles to the west-northwest of Simpson Bay.

For such fine cuisine, you might expect expensive offerings, but you may be surprised with the middle-of-the-road prices on this menu.
