Brewers Bay

The idyllic and calming atmosphere of Brewers Bay is the area's main attraction and is a great spot for swimming in the Caribbean. Not to be confused with a beach with a similar name on Tortola, this one is located on St. Thomas. It features a beautiful, white sand beach and calm waters. Roadside vendors can sometimes be found serving a variety of homemade local snacks, lunches, and drinks to guests.

Located toward the center of the island of St. Thomas, Brewers Bay is on the West edge of the island, You might want regardless of whether you are staying nearby. Seclusion and privacy are the features which most exemplify the Virgin Islands' beaches, but Brewers Bay is a little different. You'll still find it has a calm, serene mood, but you can visit without having to be too far removed from the city's activity.

How to Access The Beach
Brewer's Bay is located in close proximity to the University of the Virgin Islands and the St. Thomas airport. Cars should take the Brewers Bay Road to the beach area, where a car park lies directly across the street.

Amenities and Ambiance

Stunning white sands and inviting blue waters beckon guests to the shores of Brewer's Bay, while the shade from scattered palms offers a retreat from the sun at this beach. As the beach is technically on the University of the Virgin Island's campus (though it is still open to the public), it is well maintained by the staff. Although it is near the airport and not secluded, the beach remains relatively uncrowded, especially during the week.

There is also a concession stand available. You might also have the option to purchase food from one of the local vendors who typically set up at this spot.

Please note that public restrooms are not available, which is something to consider if you're bringing the kids, or plan to spend all day outside. Fortunately, the water here is fit for snorkeling, so bring your gear if you are looking to do some underwater exploration. Brewer's Bay is usually not very crowded, though on the weekends locals come out to enjoy the sun and have family picnics.
