Cowpet Beach

Located on the southeastern coast of St. Thomas, Cowpet Bay features a well developed beach, lined with palm trees and white sand. The nearby St. Thomas Yacht Club guarantees that luxury yachts will dot the bay waters, though the spacious waters guarantee that guests can enjoy the quiet waters.

Positioned in Cowpet Bay, Cowpet Beach is on the East coast of St. Thomas. You should think about stopping by whether or not you are staying nearby. Although there are certainly more secluded beaches in the Virgin Islands than Cowpet Beach, it offers just enough privacy to attract visitors who need a place to relax.

How to Access The Beach
The beach is accessible via nearby local roads. Estate Nazareth leads directly into the carpark for the local yacht club.

Amenities and Ambiance

The Cowpet Beach area is surrounded by private villas and tennis courts, giving the beach itself a resort feel. The shallow bay waters are perfect for swimming and snorkeling, while the white, maintained sand makes the beach perfect for sunbathing.

You could always try the restaurant right on the water, if it suits your taste. There are various types of dining experiences to be enjoyed in the Virgin Islands, but eating a delicious meal on the beach can be especially memorable. Sometimes, hotels offer to pack up on-the-go lunches for their guests. Or, you could find just what you need from cafes and street vendors en route to the beach.

For your convenience, restrooms are available at Cowpet Beach. Additionally, you'll be able to enjoy the use of lounge chairs at this spot. The water in the area is clear and good for snorkeling, so grab some gear if you're hoping to see what lies beneath the surface.

With that said, you should be sensitive to the fact that even if there are (BLANK) conveniences present at Cowpet Beach, it is located inside an active, busy area. If you want to stay away from crowded shores and busy-beaches, it will be a good motivator to think ahead for times when there are less people, like having your beach visit earlier when it is a little cooler. If you do not, you possibly risk all those comforts becoming overwhelmed.

Travelers may also want to consider Great Bay Beach, which is located within a couple of miles.

Of course, there are lots of other things to do and see in the Virgin Islands; then again, visiting Cowpet Beach or the other beautiful beaches in the area can make your time in the Virgin Islands even more memorable.
