If you seek a fun and active spot, you're better off trying a beach like Grand Beach, with a more upbeat atmosphere.

Amenities and Ambiance

Grand Beach is an ideal location on the northern coast of St. Thomas for watersports, particularly windsurfing. The beach's waters are calm and good for swimming, although they are filled with sea grass.

There is also a restaurant right on the water, so if you don't want to leave Grand Beach at all, it's worth a try. There are several types of dining experiences in the Virgin Islands that visitors can partake in, but dining at the beach can be especially enjoyable. Did you know that some hotels are happy to pack picnic lunches for their guests? Or, on your way to the beach you could grab some carry-out from a casual dining spot.

The snack bar here is the ultimate convenience if you need a cold drink, or something to hold you over until dinner. You may also have the option to try local specialties from one of the local vendors who typically set up shop here.

For your convenience, restrooms are available at Grand Beach. Fortunately, the water here is of good snorkeling quality, so grab some equipment if you want to see what lies beneath the surface. This beautiful beach attracts families and couples to its shores, while watersports enthusiasts also come to play in the sparkling waters.

Though, please see that while there exists (BLANK) conveniences on location if you go to Grand Beach, it happens to be found inside a major tourist area. As such, if these amenities make or break a trip, it is an appropriate idea to get there in the morning prior to when the other tourists come or going to a beach further away. If you do not, you might be unable to fully use all those comforts which this beach offers its guests.

Travelers may also want to consider Coki Point Beach, located within a couple of miles. Coki Point Beach is a popular tourist beach that is often very crowded. Prime snorkeling, other watersports, and ample facilities attract many guests to its charming shores.

While the area offers plenty of picturesque views and exciting attractions, Grand Beach is both a relaxing, sunny hangout and a stunning natural feature.
