Amenities and Ambiance

Renaissance Beach is an ideal location on the northern coast of St. Thomas for watersports, particularly windsurfing. The beach's waters are calm and good for swimming, although they are filled with sea grass.

You could always try the restaurant right on the water, if it suits your taste. The Virgin Islands has plenty of fantastic eateries around town, but some meals are best enjoyed spontaneously, in a truly casual setting. Many vacationers would rather eat lunch by the shoreline than in a different restaurant. So, you may wish to consider getting pre-packed lunches from your hotel if they offer them. Or, you could find just what you need from cafes and street vendors en route to the beach.

There is also a concession stand available. If available, you could also buy food from one of the local vendors who typically set up shop here.

Yes, there are public restrooms at Renaissance Beach. You'll find the waters off-shore to be clear enough for snorkeling, so grab some gear if you are looking to do some underwater exploration. This beautiful beach attracts families and couples to its shores, while watersports enthusiasts also come to play in the sparkling waters.

Renaissance Beach plus its offering of conveniences will be located well within a commonly visited area. If you are no fan of busy beaches, it's an appropriate motivator to make plans to visit against other visitors, maybe having your beach visit before the sun it at its hottest. If you come later, you could not use the amenities which Renaissance Beach has for its guests.
