Amenities and Ambiance

Renaissance Beach is an ideal location on the northern coast of St. Thomas for watersports, particularly windsurfing. The beach's waters are calm and good for swimming, although they are filled with sea grass.

Of course, you could always try the shoreside restaurant right on Renaissance Beach, which is the ultimate convenience for beachgoers. Vacationers will find plenty of places in the Virgin Islands serving up delicious local cuisine, but don't think that tables, chairs, and waiters are prerequisites for a great meal. Many visitors, in fact, like having lunch very close-by. With this in mind, you might ask your hotel if they offer to pack picnic lunches for their guests. Otherwise, you could easily grab some of the Virgin Islands' famous street food along the way.

The concession stand on-site could come in handy, even if you plan to have lunch elsewhere. On some days, it may be possible to purchase food from one of the local vendors who set up shop at the beach.

Renaissance Beach does have public restrooms for your convenience. The water here is of good snorkeling quality, so bring your gear if you want to check out what lies beneath the surface. This beautiful beach attracts families and couples to its shores, while watersports enthusiasts also come to play in the sparkling waters.

Renaissance Beach with its available conveniences will be found inside a tourist hotspot. If busy-beaches are not something you want, it'll be a decent reason to make plans to visit for times when there are less people, such as heading to the beach in the morning. Otherwise, you could possibly not fully enjoy all the amenities which this beach offers its guests.
