Located less than a hundred yards east of downtown Charlotte Amalie, Banana Tree Grille is located at Bluebeards Castle. With a following of food lovers, this destination isn't known simply for its eclectic cooking and their signature staple of seafood, but wouldn't you know they're also fawned-over for another favorite, steak.

The Banana Tree Grille cooks to order dozens of tasty and juicy entrees. These include Angus Beef from New Zealand, veal, mahi-mahi, roasted chicken, and many other traditional dishes. As you can see, just because this is a steakhouse does not mean it can only cook steaks. With as many seafood options as beef, their selections such as orange ginger ahi-tuna and crab imperial stuffed grouper are some of the local favorites.

After dinner, do not forget to try their famous Key Lime Pie or a glass of dessert wine.

Sails is located at Ritz-Carlton St. Thomas, and is a viable choice worth considering if you're going to check out this neighborhood. It's 0.7 miles southeast of Red Hook. With a following of food lovers, this destination isn't known simply for its eclectic cuisine and hamburgers, but wouldn't you know they're also known for putting out great sandwiches.

Twisted Cork Cafe

Twisted Cork Cafe is a logical choice that's worth considering if you're visiting this neighborhood or the surrounding area. If you're curious, Charlotte Amalie is about a mile (approximately a kilometer and a half) to the east. As part of their panel of eclectic-inspired cuisine, this local spot will recommend their best: seafood and tapas.

Utilizing local produce -- even some plucked fresh from the on-site garden -- and seafood, this spot also bakes all of its breads and desserts daily.

Beachcomber Bar and Grill

Beachcomber Bar and Grill is located at Island Beachcomber Hotel, and is a viable option worth considering if you are going to check out this side of the island. It's 2.4 miles west of Charlotte Amalie. Though they're broadly known for eclectic-inspired cuisine, this local spot boasts about their appetizers and barbecue.

This restaurant features a menu typical of any International all-day dining spot. Fill up on eggs, pancakes, or french toast with a steaming cup of coffee, or even a mimosa on the side before heading out to explore the region. Then, return for lunch or where you will find a selection of your favorite appetizers like nachos, conch fritters, and fried mozzarella sticks to start of your meal of a sandwich, salad, hamburger, or grill platter.

Lobster Grille

Lobster Grille is located at Bolongo Bay Beach Resort. From the restaurant, Charlotte Amalie is three miles (four and a half kilometers) to the northwest. Fresh fish and eclectic cuisine are a great pair at this well-liked dining option.

Lobster Grille is a two story open-air restaurant with architecture similar to what one might expect to find on an island in the Pacific. The view from each table is of the pool which glows neon blue at night.
