Stocking Island's best quality may well be its beaches. Just a short boat ride from Elizabeth Harbour, this island is frequented by day trippers in search of the exact type of beaches that the island is known for: white sands, crystal clear waters, and changing facilities and bathrooms to boot. If you're into watersports, the snorkeling and diving are not to be passed up, while if you just want to party, there is a bar and restaurant on the shore that will keep you busy and entertained all day.
You will find an abundance of beaches to consider on and near the island. You can click on the name of each beach to read a detailed article concerning that section of the coast.
Coconut Cove Beach: Just up the road north of George Town, there are a couple of spots off the main road to pull your car over to the side, park, and follow the path to the beach.
A second location that beach-goers can consider is Jolly Hall Beach. Protected from ocean waves by Stocking Island, the water is as calm and clear as they come. The experience is tranquil and the views spectacular.
Hooper's Bay Beach: The beach curves thinly around the pleasantly calm Harper's Bay. The area is quiet and relaxing, and you can enjoy watching some small boats as they come to and from the couple of docks on the Bay.
