Hamburger Beach

In a little cay on Lee Stocking Island is a beach named Hamburger Beach. While no one can be sure exactly why it was named Hamburger beach, many guess it is for the burger stand nearby with some of the best burgers on the island.

Set on Stocking Island, Hamburger Beach is on the North West coast of the island, You might want regardless of whether you are staying particularly close by. When you need to spend the afternoon away from tourist-filled hotspots, you should check out Hamburger Beach, a pretty, but less popular part of the coast.

Forming a crescent into the west coast of Lee Stocking Island, Hamburger Beach has dazzling white sands and bright aquamarine waters.

Unfortunately, public restrooms aren't available, so if you're visiting with small children you might want to consider a different location.

What's Nearby


The beach is wonderful, but the surrounding area has a lot to offer, too. Look for it on the North West coast of Stocking Island. It's located near the Kevalli House and any nearby accommodations, which can be found a half mile to the southeast, making it perhaps the closest place to stay near Hamburger Beach, despite there not being too many other attractions in the area.

Cities and Towns

George Town is nearby and is in an area with interesting things to do and see, but isn't as sprawling and crowded as some other areas. From the beach, George Town is just up the road, about a mile and a half (two and a half kilometers).


The popularity of this spot on any given day can vary, depending on when you visit, and how many of the nearby hotel rooms have been booked. There aren't many major hotels nearby, but it can attract guests from some of the area's smaller options.

Visitors looking for a beach that's right for them on Stocking Island will have lots of options besides Hamburger Beach.

If you like the ambiance at this beach, you might also like Coconut Cove Beach, located a mile and a half away. If you're on the lookout for more active and social, you might like Stocking Island Beach. It's found less than a mile to the southeast.

You may also want to consider Hooper's Bay Beach, located two miles to the west.

Perhaps Hamburger Beach is the most convenient coastline for you to visit, but some travelers itch to explore more; in which case you should find a beach with a seclusion factor that suits you.
