Although there is a small air strip on Terre de Haut, most visitors will first fly into (PTP) in Pointe a Pitre from a few locations in the United States, Canada, Europe, and the Caribbean. The airport is the largest in the country and has a 11,483 foot long concrete runway. After arriving here, visitors have the option of taking the ferry across to Terre de Haut or hiring a charter plane to get them to the island's small air strip.
is currently the only airline that flies direct to Pointe a Pitre out of the airport in Miami. Those who fly from the United States will usually connect through this airport.
