Although Guadeloupe allows tourists to scuba dive on their own and without the help of a licensed dive operator, it is still highly recommended that you hire an experienced local to take you out and under the sea for safety purposes.  That being said, some of the top dive spots surround Terre de Haut near Fort Napoleon, making there many opportunities to participate in the sport.

There are a couple of dive services and at least 5 good dive sites to choose from.
