Grande Anse

The major beach on Terre-de-Haut, Grand Anse stretches for about a quarter of the island's eastern shore. While you can always expect there to be someone on the beach, the size of it means that you may not even notice them.

Located on the island of Terre-de-Haut, Grande Anse is on the East coast of the island, You should consider dropping by whether or not you are staying in the immediate vicinity. This beach is not just another pleasant piece of the coast, it is one of the more unique and quiet beaches in Guadeloupe. While Grande Anse may be a little farther away, visiting this beach instead of a more crowded one could make your experience less stressful.

How to Access The Beach
Grand Anse is the beach to the east of the airport, so simply take the road adjacent and you can get to one of the Grand Anse entrances.

Amenities and Ambiance

Various parts of Grand Anse look different than others. In some spots you will find a well maintained area with smooth sand and in others you are likely to find a more natural beach with trees and vegetation on the sand. So if you show up, feel free to search for a spot that fits exactly what you want.

Unfortunately, you won't find any public restrooms along this coastline, though you may be able to use the facilities at a nearby business.

If you choose beach days which bring guests a quiet haven, then you will want to try Grande Anse; it is located in a much quieter section of Terre-de-Haut.
