Hidden in one of the most remote areas of Anguilla, and tucked within a deep cove, Blackgarden Beach is one of the least visited beaches in all of the island. Without amenities or development of any kind, Blackgarden is a beach only for those looking for absolute seclusion.
Located on the island of Anguilla, Blackgarden Bay Beach is on the North coast of the island, You might want regardless of whether you're staying nearby.
Blackgarden Beach is one of the few beaches in Anguilla that does not have a direct road entrance. The easiest way to reach the beach though is to take the Coastal Road North out of Crocus Bay. Following this road, you will need to either park at Limestone Bay Beach or turn right onto a dirt road; you will turn right. Then, taking the first left, you will continue along the dirt road until it ends, where you will be overlooking the Blackgarden Beach. You will still need to carefully walk down the hill, though.
Rough waves that routinely pound the sand at Blackgarden are funneled in by the two high ridges that extend past the beach into the ocean; creating a cavern like appearance. While they are not particularly steep, they are overgrown with shrubs and small plants that can make for an unpleasant hike. The beach itself is luckily smooth, and you do not have to worry too much about rocks or sharp seashells. Unfortunately the rougher water does make it a bit difficult to swim, especially for small children who can find the currents overwhelming.
Unfortunately, you won't find any public restrooms along this coastline, which is something to consider if you're bringing the kids, or plan to spend all day outside.
This pleasant stretch of sand known as Blackgarden Bay Beach is on the North coast of Anguilla. It is close to Savannah Gallery, which is only a short distance away. Visitors will have the option to take a taxi or to walk, and it is one of the local attractions.
