Englishman's Bay

Called Tobago's jewel, Englishman's Bay is often called the best beach on the island, yet it is not considered to be a well-known beach. The waters are perfect for swimming and snorkeling and the virtually-deserted beach is great for bathing in the sun.

Positioned on the northern side of the island of Tobago, You should consider dropping by regardless of whether you're staying in the vicinity. When you need to spend the afternoon away from tourist-filled hotspots, you shouldn't miss the opportunity to visit Englishman's Bay.

How to Access The Beach
Located on the Leeward coast of Tobago, Englishman's Bay can be found between two fishing villages, Castara and Parlatuvier.

Amenities and Ambiance

Set on the edge of the rainforest in a crescent shape, Englishman's Bay is covered with swaying palms and soft white sands. The sands begin as soon as the forestry ends, and is somewhat coarse in nature. The beach's clear blue waters, which are calm year-round, beckon any guest to swim along its shores.

Lots of visitors here find that the on-site snack bar is just fine for lunch. You may also have the option to buy food from one of the mobile vendors who typically set up on this shoreline.

Unfortunately, public restrooms aren't available, so those of you traveling with small children may want to consider another spot. Happily, the off-shore waters are of good snorkeling quality, so bring your equipment if you're wanting to check out the underwater sites. Englishman's Bay is not well known to tourists on the island and is often relatively deserted, although it has been picking up in the last few years. A small vendor cart sells snacks to guests, but otherwise, the parrots may be your only company.

Englishman's Bay offers visitors a calm and peaceful haven, due to the fact that the region surrounding the beach is away from most urbanization.
