Sandy Point Beach

Just a stones throw away from the Arthur Napoleon Raymond Robinson Airport is Sandy Point Beach. If getting beach side is your top priority, this beach is so close that you can hop off the plane, grab your luggage, and go -- though you may want to drop your stuff off at your hotel first!

Positioned toward the western outskirts of Crown Point, Sandy Point Beach is on the South West coast of Tobago. You might want to drop by regardless of whether you're staying nearby. Sandy Point Beach is somewhat unique because it's a generally active beach, but it's not constantly overrun with crowds. If you need more activity than you'll find on Trinidad and Tobago's quiet, secluded beaches, but don't want to compete with other beachgoers for a spot, this beach has the best of bost worlds.

How to Access The Beach
After navigating some of the airport's back roads, you will find Sandy Point Beach at the end of a dirt road that has been neatly carved through a clearing of trees.

Amenities and Ambiance

Sandy Point Beach features some of the lighter colored sand on the island of Tobago. It is white, verging on tan, and soft to the touch. Meanwhile, the waters are a stunning aquamarine that become deeper and darker the farther offshore you go.

Keep in mind that restrooms won't be found on-site, but you may be able to find facilities at a nearby business.

Bear in mind that the immediate vicinity around Sandy Point Beach is rather congested, so factor that into your plans.
