A perfect crescent shaped beach with unbelievably soft sand and bright blue waters, Brandy Wine Bay is surrounded in dark green rolling hills. Thatched umbrellas line the beach to escape from the endless sun. The warm, calm waters of the Bay are popular with boaters.
Positioned on the eastern edge of Newport, Brandy Wine Bay is on the East coast of Tortola. You might think about stopping by regardless of whether you are staying in the immediate vicinity. Brandy Wine Bay is one of those beaches that is not terribly crowded, even though its not far from some of the Virgin Islands' best hotspots.
Please note that public restrooms are not available, so those of you traveling with small children may want to consider another spot. Fortunately, the water here is fit for snorkeling, so purchase or rent some equipment if you're looking to see what goes on beneath the surface.
The beach is wonderful, but the surrounding area has a lot to offer, too. Look for it on the East coast of Tortola; the area is home to other attractions such as St. Phillip's Church, which is one of the closest attractions to visit.
If you're interested in combining culture with your visit to the beach, you should plan a trip to VI Maritime Museum. This museum is located just a walk or cab ride away, so it could be a welcomed alternative to hot afternoon activities.

You may also want to consider Lambert Beach, which is located two and a half miles away.
