Long Bay West

Long Bay West is located on the British Virgin Island's most populated island and offers a mile-long beach area composed of soft, white sand. The water is calm to moderate, making it perfect for an exciting swim or a surf at high tide. Palm trees and small villas dot the entrance to the beach.

Located on the western part of Long Bay, 0.8 miles northeast of West End, Long Bay West is on the South West coast of Tortola. How to Access The Beach
Long Bay West is accessible by Long Bay Road and is open to the public, although the Long Bay Beach Resort sits on one side of it. Parking is roughly 30 feet from the beach, making it friendly to drivers and locals alike. Drivers need simply follow the major northern coastal road. A ferry terminal is provided on the southern side of the island.

Amenities and Ambiance

The sandy white beach is one mile long and bordered by coconut palms and seagrape trees. The surf, which comes in from the Atlantic, is moderate. Hills offer an amazing backdrop.

The concession stand at this spot is also an option. You might also have the option to try local specialties from one of the mobile vendors who typically set up on this shoreline.

Keep in mind that restrooms won't be found on-site, which is something to consider if you're bringing the kids, or plan to spend all day outside. Since the Long Bay Beach Resort is located on part of Long Bay West, vacationers at the hotel spread out along the beach.
