Six miles of wide, sandy beaches with rocky shores and an abundance of privacy makes up the coastal scene of Treasure Beach. This area of the island is proud to avoid the hustle and bustle of the resort areas with its private coves that are rarely over-occupied. There are several public beaches in the immediate area, along with additional sandy stretches along the coast heading northwest toward Negril.
You'll find a large number of beaches to choose from in and around the area. Snorkeling is an option at several locations, for those who enjoy the underwater scene. You can click on individual beach names for a detailed article concerning that section of the coast.
Billy Bay: Along a rocky stretch of sand on the southern coast of Jamaica sits the beautiful Billy Bay. It is one of five Bays located in the fishing village of Treasure Beach.
A second place worth considering is Starve Gut Bay. This beach sits on Starve Guy Bay and is surrounded by interesting topography and cliffs. The sand is darker than the dazzling white sand found on the other side of the island but is soft and cool on your feet.
Parottee Bay: Because the shore of Parottee Bay goes on for quite a distance, there are some areas that are thinner stretches than others. No matter where you are, you'll encounter white sands, green trees, and topaz waters.
