Columbus Bay

Said to be the spot where Columbus first made anchor on Trinidad, Columbus Bay is the spot where what is believed to be his ship's anchor was found. Visitors come to view this historic spot located on the southwestern peninsula and imagine what it must have been like to "discover" these untouched shores.

Located on the southwestern side of the island of Trinidad, 2.4 miles west-southwest of Fullarton, Columbus Bay always welcomes tourists lodging on this part of the island. Even if you are not staying in the vicinity, you should consider dropping by for some fun in the sun. In case you're wondering, Chaguanas is to the northeast.
