Said to be the spot where Columbus first made anchor on Trinidad, Columbus Bay is the spot where what is believed to be his ship's anchor was found. Visitors come to view this historic spot located on the southwestern peninsula and imagine what it must have been like to "discover" these untouched shores.
Columbus Bay is located on the island of Trinidad, 2.4 miles west-southwest of Fullarton; it is to the south west of Chaguanas.
Those interested in viewing a second body of water, check out, found 4.2 miles away from Columbus Bay. Vacationers will find this bay pleasantly removed from most hotels and tourist attractions, in a remote area.
