Columbus Bay

Said to be the spot where Columbus first made anchor on Trinidad, Columbus Bay is the spot where what is believed to be his ship's anchor was found. Visitors come to view this historic spot located on the southwestern peninsula and imagine what it must have been like to "discover" these untouched shores.

Located on the southwestern part of the island of Trinidad, 2.4 miles west-southwest of Fullarton, Columbus Bay happily welcomes guests lodging on this part of the island. Whether or not you're staying very close, you are free to stop by to check out the sights. It's south west of Chaguanas.
