Cyril Bay

Set along Trinidad's North coast is Cyril Bay, a great locale for a day of splashing around with the family. Despite it's remote location, many people make the trek, so don't expect to have the beach to yourself.

Located in the vicinity of Port of Spain, west of Maracas Bay, Cyril Bay is on the North coast of Trinidad. You might want even if you aren't staying particularly close by. This isn't just another pretty beach, it also has a private beach feel——a unique quailty in a touristy place like Trinidad and Tobago. While Cyril Bay may be a little harder to reach, it's a pleasure to find an undisturbed plot of sand like this one.

How to Access The Beach
Cyril Bay can be found just of North Coast Road in the village of St. George.

Amenities and Ambiance

Cyrill Bay is a natural bay with deep green waters that wash ashore flattening the tan colored sand at the highest point of tide. Directly after that, the ground consists of a variety of shells and pebbles, which can be hard on feet -- shoes are recommended. Edging out the beach is a thick forest, and a short hike will take you to a glorious waterfall.

Unfortunately, public restrooms aren't available, which is something to consider if you're bringing the kids, or plan to spend all day outside.

If you find that you choose shores which offer visitors a tranquil haven, then you may want to try Cyril Bay; it is found within a less urban section of Trinidad.
