The course was originally a 9 hole course designed for expatriates working at the nearby oil refinery, but has since expanded. Located in a long-time residential area, the course is lined by many old trees, and as you play by the aptly named Mango Avenue starting on the 12th hole, you'll find a number of large mango trees you'll need to try to play around.
This golf course has become a classic spot to play a few rounds, having been founded in 1947. It has earned a course rating of 68.8, and its 18 holes have a total distance of 5981 yards.
The course is located on the western coast of Trinidad, sandwiched between a number of sizable lakes, and next to an oil refinery to the south. The fairways can be quite thin, but the challenge is mitigated by nice big greens, a lack of water hazards, and only a few sand traps.
