Established in 1967, the ASA Wright Nature Center is a non-profit eco-center dedicated to keeping the protected area in its natural state and study conservation. This spot is particularly favored amongst birders for the 400 birds that nest here annually.
ASA Wright Nature Center takes up nearly 1,500 acres of forested land of a former plantation known for producing cocoa, coffee, and citrus.
With birding of special interest to most visitors at ASA Wright Nature Center, the center has created the Dunston Cave especially for the breeding of the nocturnal Oilbird. There are over 400 birds that nest throughout the property, as well as 97 mammals, 55 reptiles, 617 butterflies, 25 amphibians, and over 2,200 types of plants.

Advance reservations must be made for day visitors, who may check out the center between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. daily. Guided tours of the property take place at 10:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. and last for about 90 minutes.
Guests at ASA Wright Nature Center should be aware that littering, loud noises, and feeding the animals is not allowed. Only water is allowed on the trail, which should never be strayed from, and children under 12 must be properly supervised.
Visitors can expect to pay $10(USD) for adulte and $6(USD) for children between the ages of six and 12 to tour the ASA Wright Nature Center grounds.
