Lookout Tower

Providing a vantage point for Maya lookouts, the Lookout Tower grants the person on top a clear view of the entire surrounding area. Still in good shape, this is one of the most popular ruins in the Tulum Site.

What to Expect

Visitors will be able to climb over this piece of history to the top. From above, they will gain a great view of the rest of the ruins, the jungle, and the sea.

Despite its age, the ruins are in good enough shape for the public to walk on. Taking the shape of a pyramid, the structure is made of stone and features a steep staircase for the brave.

Location and What's Nearby

There are plenty of eateries to choose from in the community nearby Lookout Tower. Andreas Restaurant is a wonderful locale to satisfy your hunger on your way to spending time at this historical site, and is very close-by, making it a great option for its patrons. The eatery is a short distance away, but far-removed enough that you may need to plan on using a particular type of transportation to get there. Don Cafeto and King Kebab are a couple other food and drink options near Lookout Tower where visitors will be able to try something different in Cancun and the Mexican Caribbean.



While there is no additional charge to climb the tower, admission into Tulum is about $4.
