Xel Ha Ruins

Just past the popular Xel Ha Park (snorkelers cannot get enough of this place!) are the Xel Ha ruins, a small and mostly unexplored Maya playground.

The lagoon at Hel Ha was once used as a Maya port of call, keeping the local people connected with the rest of the world. Today, visitors can explore this sleepy site in less than an hour.

There are plenty of restaurants to choose from in the neighborhood surrounding Xel Ha Ruins. The most convenient place to eat is Esperanza, a great restaurant to have a bite to eat at before checking out this historical site. The restaurant is a small ways off, but distant enough that you may decide to aim for having a particular method of transportation to transport your party. Also near Xel Ha Ruins you and your companions will encounter eateries such as Oscar & Lalo and Pizzaria Leo where you and your group will be able to eat some Italian dishes and enjoy the culture of Cancun and the Mexican Caribbean.
