Xel Ha Ruins

Just past the popular Xel Ha Park (snorkelers cannot get enough of this place!) are the Xel Ha ruins, a small and mostly unexplored Maya playground.


The lagoon at Hel Ha was once used as a Maya port of call, keeping the local people connected with the rest of the world. Today, visitors can explore this sleepy site in less than an hour.

This historical site has the advantage of being well located for visitors who are wanting to find several nearby food options.
