High Point North

High Point North is a beach located seemingly in the middle of nowhere on the island of North Caicos. This secluded location allows vacationers the opportunity to carve a spot in the sand without fear of having to strain to hear the crashing waves over the chatter of other visitors.

Situated on the island of South Caicos, 2.1 miles east of Cockburn Harbor, High Point North is on the South edge of the island, You should think about stopping by even if you aren't staying in the immediate vicinity. It's often said that High Point North is one of the best spots for escaping over-crowded hangouts in the town proper. Most other beaches in Turks and Caicos may be just as beautiful, but are usually more crowded because they're lined with some of the most famous hotels and restaurants.

How to Access The Beach
With no sign of civilization for several miles, visitors can drive right up to a sandy clearing just before the beach for parking.

Amenities and Ambiance

The beach at High Point North is white and sandy right along the shoreline, with a decent amount of greenery separating the beach from the outside world. The waters are a deep blue hue, and welcome swimmers and snorkelers.

Unfortunately, public restrooms aren't available, so if you're visiting with small children you might want to consider a different location. The water here is clear enough for snorkeling, so bring your equipment if you're looking to see what goes on beneath the surface.

If you find that you like beach days that offer those who visit an idyllic environment, then maybe head on over to High Point North; it is back in a more rural area of South Caicos.
