While Salt Cay is lined with world-class beaches, one in particular stands out: North Beach. In fact, for its beauty and seclusion, many say it is the best beach in the entirety of Turks and Caicos.

Situated on the island of Salt Cay, You might want regardless of whether you're staying nearby. Travelers in search of a tranquil, secluded setting might really enjoy an afternoon at North Beach.

Amenities and Ambiance

Not only is North Beach powdered with ivory white sand, but hidden within the sand is a wide variety if colorful sea glass and shells, which make for lovely natural souvenirs. Of course, one can not overlook the crystal clear blue waters and the shady trees that dot the land scape.

Unfortunately, restrooms will not be available here, so those of you traveling with small children may want to consider another spot. You'll find the waters off-shore to be of good snorkeling quality, so bring along some gear if you've been hoping to get in some underwater exploration.

North Beach is beautiful natural attraction, which you'll find on the North East coast of Salt Cay. It is near some interesting sites like Salt Cay Salt Works, which is one of a few popular spots in the area.

If you want to discover more interesting facts about the history of Turks and Caicos, there are plenty of places where you can learn first-hand about the country's past. For example, you might enjoy a visit to Brown House, which is a mile and a half to the south west.

Balfour Town is the closest city to North Beach. It isn't a congested area, and it can be an interesting destination for those hoping to get a taste of the local scene. From North Beach, Balfour Town is just up the road, maybe a mile and a half (two and a half kilometers).


The popularity of this spot on any given day can vary, depending on time of day, season, and how full the nearby hotels are. North Beach is not located near many major hotels, but you may encounter guests staying at some of the area's smaller options.
