1 | Punta Mulas Lighthouse
First lit in 1896, the Punta Mulas Lighthouse is a historic lighthouse on the island of Vieques. The lighthouse was built to guide sailors though the difficult to navigate through reef system that surrounds the island, and it one of two located there.
Interested visitors can find this lighthouse within traveling distance from Vieques Town, a mile and a half (two and a half kilometers) north of the center of Barriada Monte Santo.

2 | Munoz Rivera Plaza
Found in the heart of Vieques Town, this park is located 0.4 miles (0.6 km) south-southeast of Punta Mulas Lighthouse.
3 | Fortín Conde De Mirasol
Built in 1845, Fortin Conde De Mirasol was eventually turned into a prison and place of execution for many prisoner. Near complete ruins by the late 1900's, the Institute of Puerto Rican Culture restored the complex, finishing in 1991.
Travel a few hundred yards (a quarter kilometer) from Munoz Rivera Plaza to find this historical site, which is located at 471 Calle Magnolia.

1 | Vieques National Wildlife Refugee
Established between 2001 and 2003, the Vieques National Wildelife Refugee is over 17,000 acres of protect subtropical dry forest an wetlands where many endangered species and migratory birds make their homes.
Vacationers will find this nature sanctuary/wildlife reserve on Road 200, KM 0.04, four miles (six and a half kilometers) to the east of the center of Barriada Monte Santo.
