However, those who do not place the ecological adventure as high will still find this beach to be among the most beautiful in Puerto Rico.

Located in the heart of the island of Vieques, Caracas Beach is on the South East coast of the island, You might want to drop by even if you aren't staying very close. How to Access The Beach
To reach Caracas, the first task is to get onto the island of Vieques, either by ferry, charter boat, or through one of the island's airports. Luckily, once on the island, it is relatively simple to get to the beach, as long as you have a car that can handle some dirt roads. The roads in the reserve can get confusing though, and it is probably a good idea to get a map or directions from the visitor's center.

Amenities and Ambiance

The almost gemstone blue steals the show at Caracas, and those lucky enough to claim one of the on-site cabanas can enjoy their full share of sun and sights.

Travelers can take advantage of the available picnic tables, which are perfect for setting up your carry-out food, or just lounging under the sun.

There are public restrooms at this beach——something you'll appreciate if you bring the kids along. In addition, you'll find umbrellas and chairs, so guests seeking a place to relax in the shade will not be disappointed. Happily, the off-shore waters are clear and good for snorkeling, so grab some gear if you want to see what lies beneath the surface.
