Amenities and Ambiance

Looking out over the waters of Esperanza Beach gives you quite a view. The sand is powder white, and the waters are a bright blue and so clear you can see to the bottom for a decent distance off shore. There is an old fishing pier, Muelle de la Caña, which brings on feelings of nostalgia for days gone by, and to the right of that you can see Monte Pirata on the horizon. Colorful fishing boats float in the distance, and behind them you can see another small island called Cayo Afuera, which can be accessed from Esperanza by kayak.

As you walk down the beach, the color of the sand begins to darken until it has turned fully black. Upon the shores, driftwood, sea glass, and debris can be found in abundance.

For your convenience, restrooms are available at Esperanza Beach. The water here is clear and good for snorkeling, so grab your equipment if you want to see what lies beneath the surface.

Esperanza Beach as well as its available amenities are of course located inside a major tourist area. Taking that into consideration, if these amenities influence your decision, it will be a good cause to make it earlier in the day prior to when the other people show up or go to a different beach further away. If you wait around, you could risk all those comforts being already claimed by other guests.
