It might take some time to get there, but at 27 and a half miles away, Fajardo is the closest city. though you may find some smaller towns near the beach.
The number of other people sharing spots in the sand can vary widely, depending on everything from the time of day to how packed the nearby hotels are.
Don't anticipate finding any of Puerto Rico's popular resorts lining this beach, but if you're hoping to elude hoards of vacationers, the lack of places to stay will certainly be a pleasant sight.
There aren't any restaurants in the immediate surroundings of this shore, so you might want to pack a lunch for your time spent at the beach.
Vacationers who are looking for the ideal beach will have lots of choices besides Playa Branca.
You might also enjoy Naguabo Beach, situated 29 miles to the west. However, if that's not exactly what you're looking for, Bahia Salinas could provide more action, and isn't far from other tourist hot-spots. It's found one and an eighth miles to the west.
Vacationers may also want to visit El Gallito, located 13 miles to the west.
Playa Branca could be the ideal stretch of sand, but it is possible that it may not be the best choice for your family; if so, there are other beaches and natural attractions in Puerto Rico you might like.
