Savannah Bay, located on Virgin Gorda, provides an incredible beach experience. The generous stretch of soft sand provides visitors with the perfect place to lay back and the lack of development almost guarantees that the beach will be free of tourists. The area is accessible by a dirt path off of the island's main road.

Located toward the center of the island of Virgin Gorda, 3.3 miles south west of Leverick Bay, Savannah Bay is on the South West coast of the island, You should think about stopping by whether or not you are staying in the immediate vicinity. Though it's removed from some of the more heavily traveled areas, tourists frequently choose this beach as a way to find some peace and quiet.

How to Access The Beach
Access to the beach area is provided by a dirt path off of the island's main road (North Sound Road). It is recommended that drivers utilize a car with four-wheel drive to access the small parking area a few yards short of the beach.

Amenities and Ambiance

Savannah Bay is a meandering, long stretch of white sand that is situated in north central Virgin Gorda. The pristine beach is backed by lush vegetation and leads down to sparkling aqua waters. Reefs off of the coast make for excellent snorkeling, while the beautiful shallow waters invite visitors to jump in.

The concession stand at this spot is also an option. You may also have the option to buy some food from one of the mobile vendors who typically set up shop here.

Unfortunately, you won't find any public restrooms along this coastline, so those of you traveling with small children may want to consider another spot. The water in the area is clear and good for snorkeling, so grab some equipment if you want to check out what lies beneath the surface. Savannah Bay is a quiet beach that doesn't get too crowded, so visitors don't have to worry about not finding a spot to settle down.
