Those searching for a somewhat calm, but somewhat social beach in the Virgin Islands might enjoy stopping by Spring Bay for a few hours. Generally, it's not an overly popular part of the coast, but it's not totally secluded either.
Access to the beach is provided by a small path and carpark, which is located off of the island's main road.
Spring Bay, which neighbors The Baths on Virgin Gorda, offers guests clear waters that are just perfect for snorkeling. The sands are soft and boulders are scattered along the shore, making this beach one of the best on the island. Palm trees dot the beachfront, providing shade for guests, while silhouetted hills make for vistas that will keep you entranced the entire day long.
The concession stand at this spot is also an option. You might also have the option to purchase food from one of the mobile vendors who are typically found at this location.
Unfortunately, you won't find any public restrooms along this coastline, which is something to consider if you're bringing the kids, or plan to spend all day outside. Happily, the off-shore waters are clear and good for snorkeling, so purchase or rent some gear if you've been hoping to get in some underwater exploration. Spring Bay borders The Baths, one of the major tourist attractions on Virgin Gorda; and although it is not as crowded, Spring Bay's shores still draw a crowd.
Be mindful that the immediate vicinity around Spring Bay is an urban area, so make sure to get a spot!
Travelers will find Spring Bay on the South West coast of Virgin Gorda. It is near some interesting sites like Little Fort Ruins, which is one of a number of favorite destinations in the area.

Spring Bay is close to Spanish Town, so you can explore the city after your visit to the beach. The closest town is Spanish Town, which is a neat region that strikes a balance between island tranquility and urbanization. From the beach, Spanish Town isn't far off, about one and a quarter miles (two kilometers).
Whether or not you encounter many other people will be influenced by everything from the time of day to the capacity of nearby hotels. This beach is not near many large hotels, but you may encounter guests from some of the area's smaller options.
