Fort Segarra is unique among American Forts in the Virgin Islands is that it is built underground. It was built as part of the American defensive strategy during World War II, and today offers its corridors to be explored by inquisitive visitors.

Situated on Fort Road, this historical site is approximately three miles (approximately five kilometers) to the south west of the center of Charlotte Amalie.
