Located on Water Island off the coast of St. Thomas, Honeymoon Beach is an excellent spot for guests of all ages, whether they prefer swimming or simply sunbathing on the shore. Dramatically improved in the 1950s by the leaseholder, the area is decorated with palm trees and immaculate sand.

Located near the heart of Water Island, near St. Thomas, Honeymoon Beach is on the West edge of the island, You should consider dropping by even if you aren't staying very close. The beaches in the Virgin Islands aren't usually known for their peace and quiet, but you'll find Honeymoon Beach to be a little calmer than most, which offers some middle ground to those who'd like a less hectic scene, but one that's not completely empty.

How to Access The Beach
The beach can be accessed off of Main Road, but be advised that Water Island must be reached via boat.

Amenities and Ambiance

The beach area features immaculate white sand and turquoise waters, perfect for snorkeling or swimming. Palm trees decorate the island, while lush green hills overlook the beach area. The bay itself is popular with boaters, so expect to the see the waters dotted with yachts and sailboats.

There is also a great restaurant right on-site if you're interested; many find it the perfect, convenient solution for lunch. There all types of dining experiences that vacationers can enjoy in the Virgin Islands, but having a meal on the beach can be especially enjoyable. With this in mind, you might ask your hotel if they offer to pack picnic lunches for their guests. Or, it would be easy to grab some hot food from a street vendor or casual cafe along the way.

Yes, there are public restrooms at Honeymoon Beach. Happily, the off-shore waters are of good snorkeling quality, so grab some gear if you've been hoping to get in some underwater exploration.

With that said, try to keep in mind that even if there fortunately are at least one or two amenities (BLANK) at Honeymoon Beach, it will be located in a hot tourist destination. Taking that into consideration, if these amenities influence your decision, it will be a smart motivator to make it earlier in the morning prior to when the crowds do or perhaps try a beach in a more remote area. Or you could find all the amenities becoming overwhelmed.
