Travelers looking for a spot that's a little out of the way, but still active, may really like a visit to Honeymoon Beach. It's a little bit removed from the Virgin Islands' urban areas, but it's also not completely secluded.
The beach can be accessed off of Main Road, but be advised that Water Island must be reached via boat.
The beach area features immaculate white sand and turquoise waters, perfect for snorkeling or swimming. Palm trees decorate the island, while lush green hills overlook the beach area. The bay itself is popular with boaters, so expect to the see the waters dotted with yachts and sailboats.
There is also a great restaurant right on-site if you're interested; many find it the perfect, convenient solution for lunch. There are several types of dining experiences to be had in the Virgin Islands, but eating at the beach can be especially fun. So, you may wish to consider getting pre-packed lunches from your hotel if they offer them. Or, it would be easy to grab some hot food from a street vendor or casual cafe along the way.
Restrooms are available at Honeymoon Beach. The water here is clear enough for snorkeling, so bring along some equipment if you're looking to see what goes on beneath the surface.

Honeymoon Beach visitors looking for a little additional excitement will want to consider checking out Charlotte Amalie, which is nearby and is an area full of activity. From the shore, Charlotte Amalie is a quick trip away, roughly two and a half miles (four kilometers).
The mood here——social and lively, or virtually empty—— will depend on how many hotel guests decide to make the trip as well. There aren't many major hotels in the immediate vicinity, but you may see guests staying at the few small lodgings in the area.
If someone in your group starts to get a little hungry at the beach, it's alright because you'll have many local dishes to choose from at nearby establishments. One of the nearest places to eat is Dinghy's Beach Bar & Grill. The restaurant has both American and Caribbean dishes on the menu. Visitors often rave about their hamburgers and pizza. There should be no problems getting there either since it is only a short walk away.

Another location you might enjoy is Emerald Beach, located a mile and a half away. However, if that's not exactly what you're looking for, Brewers Bay could provide a few more possibilities for excitement, and isn't far from other popular destinations. You'll find it two and a half miles to the northwest.
You may also want to consider Sprat Bay Beach, which is located only a short distance away.
