The Curacao Museum is fittingly located in a colonial-style building in Western Otrobanda. Inside, visitors will find exhibits that touch on the geological history of the island, pre-Colombian artifacts, details about the time after the abolition of slavery, antiques, paintings, and a display of the traditional plantation kitchen. Two of the prized pieces of the museums collection is the carillon with 47 bells, and the cockpit of the first KLM plane to cross the Atlantic Ocean. This is a great place to learn about life on Curacao through the ages.

This attraction conveys to guests a varied look of the way Curaçao's people regard the subject matter. Notable among the numerous showcases at Curacao Museum, visitors might make note of a group of permanent exhibits. These are this museum's un-moving displays.
