The Pintura, also known as the Painting Complex, is part of the Coba Ruins where archaeologist found a number of art work. Critical in understanding the development and interaction of cultures, researchers have used the art work to guess what other cultures the Maya have interacted, influenced, and have been influenced by.

Offerings

The Pintura has had some renovation to it, so it is possible to actually climb up the ruins and explore what lies inside.

Consider staying in the Riviera Maya if you plan on visiting Pintura, as visitors to this area of the Yucatan Peninsula will be excited to have convenient access to the historical site during their visit. You can expect little traffic surrounding this historic site, especially as there aren't many hotel rooms nearby.

Location and What's Nearby

If you've had enough time on your feet, and are ready to eat, you can choose from amongst just enough dining options near this historical site. Lavazza Cafe is a wonderful locale to enjoy a meal at on your way to checking out this historical site, and is the closest restaurant to it. The eatery is a slight ways off. Also close-by, you and your companions will come across restaurants including El Faison and La Sazon Mexicana where you and your party should eat some Mexican fare and enjoy the local foods and culture of the Yucatan Peninsula.

The archaeological site is open from 7:00am until 5:00pm everyday.

Payment

Admission into the park is 48 pesos, while parking is an additional 15 pesos. In USD, the total price is about $5.
